Does the working-day count exclude public holidays?
No. Only Saturdays and Sundays are excluded. If your jurisdiction has public holidays you need to subtract them yourself, since holiday calendars vary by country and year.
Is the end date counted?
The span is the difference between the two dates, so counting from 1 January to 2 January gives one day. Think of it as the number of boundaries you cross rather than the number of dates you touch.
Why is the month count only approximate?
Because a month has no fixed length. The tool multiplies the year difference by twelve and adds the month difference, which is exact for whole months but approximate once day-of-month offsets are involved.
What happens across a daylight-saving change?
Dates are read at local midnight, and the difference is rounded to whole days, so a 23-hour or 25-hour day still counts as one day.
