Sending is a real request. The message, embed, override username and avatar are sent as JSON straight from your browser to https://discord.com/api/webhooks/ when you press the button, and they then sit in the channel's history where members and any configured logging integration can read them. Nothing is stored on this site and no request is made before you press it, but the URL you paste is a live credential.

What is Discord Webhook Sender?

Paste a webhook URL and post to the channel behind it without opening Discord, standing up a bot or writing a script on a server. The Message tab takes the text, where Markdown, spoiler bars and user pings all work, plus a thread title that Discord only honours when the webhook points at a forum channel. The Embed tab builds a rich card from a title, description, accent colour, author, footer, image and thumbnail, with a preview drawn in that colour and a Fill sample button to start from. The Sender identity tab overrides the name and avatar the webhook appears under, and a Clear button resets everything. Every URL shape Discord issues is accepted — discordapp.com, the canary, ptb and www subdomains, a /v9-style version segment, a trailing slash, query strings such as ?wait=true — and is rewritten to https://discord.com before sending.

How to use Discord Webhook Sender

Paste the full webhook URL into the Webhook URL field; it is checked as you type and rejected with an inline message if the shape is wrong.

On the Message tab type the text, or switch to Embed and fill in a title, description, accent colour, author, footer, image and thumbnail.

Optionally set an override username and avatar on the Sender identity tab, or a thread name if the webhook targets a forum channel.

Press Send message: a 204 means delivered, 429 reports the rate limit with a wait time, and any other status shows Discord's own code.

Where do I get a webhook URL?
In Discord, open Server Settings, then Integrations, then Webhooks, then New Webhook, then Copy Webhook URL. You need the Manage Webhooks permission in that server. The link it hands you is itself the credential, so treat it like a password rather than an address.
Why does a send come back as 404?
Usually the token in the link is stale — a webhook deleted from the settings screen, or a URL copied out of an old message. A 401 instead means the token is not valid for that operation. Check that the token segment after the numeric id is present in what you pasted.
Can I post into an existing thread?
Yes. Append ?thread_id= followed by the thread's numeric identifier to the webhook URL and the message lands in that thread. The separate thread-name field is a different thing: it only applies when the webhook itself points at a forum channel.
Is it safe to paste a webhook link into a web page?
The link authorises anyone holding it to post as that integration, so it deserves the same care as a token. Here it goes into a single field and the only request made is the send you trigger, but any webhook that has appeared in a public repository, screenshot or paste site should be deleted and replaced.
