The mouse wheel zooms, dragging pans, Fit scales the image to the window, and 1:1 shows it at native resolution. Rotation, both mirror axes, and a colour inversion are there for the times you need to check whether something is mirrored, or to lift detail out of a dark scan. Frequently Asked Questions

Does downloading give me the edited version?
No. Zoom, rotation, mirroring, and inversion are display transforms only. The download button saves the file exactly as you opened it, under its original name.
What does the checkerboard background tell me?
It shows transparency. A checkerboard behind part of an image means that region is genuinely see-through rather than filled with a colour that merely looks light. Switch to a dark or light background if you need to judge the pixels themselves.
How is the aspect ratio worked out?
The two dimensions are reduced by their greatest common divisor, so a 1920×1080 image reports 16:9. When the reduced numbers would be unreasonably large, it falls back to a two-decimal ratio instead.
Is the file sent anywhere when I open or copy it?
No. The file is read from disk into the page, and the copy action reads that same local data. Nothing is transmitted — the Network panel stays empty.
